True Indeed

At long last, the Yanks win a game. And not only did they win it, well, they put a beatin’ on the Royals to the tune of 14-1.

The Yanks sored early and often, launching a trio of 3-run singers. Nathan Eovaldi was terrific, and a couple of youngters–Mr. Heathcott and Mr. Lindren–pitched in to make this a happy, worry-free afternoon of baseball for the home town team.

Wunnerful, wunnerful.

I just now watched Slade's homer replay. Quite the Matsui flashback seeing #55 rounding the bases. Good on the kid.

Great win. Hideous, horrid uniforms. For so many reasons. Can't believe anyone with a functioning brain would find that these things 'honor' anyone. Yuck..

A family outing to the game yesterday. My wife's birthday; she wanted to go-gotta love her! So including our son home from school, we found tickets on Craigslist, took Metro North, got sandwiches from Court Deli, and settled in. Good thing we arrived on time to see that first inning Yankee 8 spot.

A wonderful relaxing game to watch. There was even a sunscreen giveaway that became a necessity; it was hot and the sun was scorching. And "mama were all crazee now" Slade pounded the ball.

I've been paying too much attention on the Rangers playoff run. Obviously the Yankees need my fan focus to get back on track.
