The on-again, off-again Yankees are in off-again mode.
Last night, Nathan Eovaldi gave up 8 runs in the first inning and that was that. The final was 12-2. Man, oh, man, it was ugly.

Do you ever wonder why a manager, in this case Girardi, gives Eovaldi a pat on the rear when he walks out to bring in a new pitcher? Eovaldi was awful!
I kept wondering why Girardi wouldn't just take the ball from Eovaldi; no need to also give him a pat on the rear when you couldn't even get out of the first inning. Keep it real, Girardi!!
This team is schizophrenic. Or bi-polar.
This is the Marlins you are talking about. Read the article in today's NYT. Hardly a mention of the game; all about A Rod.
[1] Joe isn't real and neither is Cashman. Get rid of both of them and everyone else, except the home grown talent. And Gregorious or whatever his name is ....
And, by the way, no excuse for bad defense, none. Not to excuse Eovaldi, but some of those balls should have been outs, eh!
[3] I really like Girardi, I wouldn't get rid of him. I think this team would have been under .500 w/o Giardi the last two years.
This team will clearly need to add another strong hitter if it is going to get over the hump and make the playoffs. That strong hitter should replace Beltran, who is clearly done as a defender, can't provide enough production as a hitter, and is blocked from becoming the DH. He should be DFAd if he can't be traded.
