According to Baseball Prospectus the Yanks chances of making the playoffs are 99%. With that knowledge we can save Hideki for the wild card game if necessary. Of course a home tilt would be preferable.
"Awarded jointly to two individuals: ... and to Michael L. Smith [USA, UK, THE NETHERLANDS], for carefully arranging for honey bees to sting him repeatedly on 25 different locations on his body, to learn which locations are the least painful (the skull, middle toe tip, and upper arm). and which are the most painful (the nostril, upper lip, and penis shaft)."
I grew up in NY watching these two teams play (no, RI, not playing each other. Well, save for the Mayor's Trophy games in spring training), but as of *today*, I am now a home owner in the city of Atlanta! : )
[21] Congrats. Welcome to the joys of hom ownership. Within the past two years I've had to replace the furnace and had service calls on my washer, dryer and garage door.
As far as horns go, when I was a freshman at Penn State, someone on my floor of the dorm found out I was Jewish and asked where my horns were. Huh. Apparently, I've owned horns forever!
First up, is I'm having a soundproofed drum studio built in the backyard. That's gonna be more of a headache than the stressful process of buying the house.
I recently lost my studio of 17 years, so I've been musically homeless. I've since set up a semblance of a studio here in my basement.
Btw, we bought the house we've been renting, so we don't have to move or change our address : )
I usually don't bitch about managers but Joe has many right handed relievers at his disposal. I also can't stand that he continues to play Ryan and Drew.

Man, Shea really has a huge outfield.
Good, a run.
Hi, Curtis!
[2] Shea, yeah.
Showing your age.
Was that an 8-pitch inning for Hiro?
Good thing about Ryan starting. They can pinch hit 4 times for the spot.
[7] eternal optimist?
That injury of Jung Ho Kang just sucks. Pittsburgh let out a collective sigh last night.
Oooh. Can Tanaka bunt?
Fuck.
[5] Indeed.
What? What the hell was that? Really?
Gawd, Ryan got no jump at all.
hmm, i thought safe but that replay makes me doubt it. damn, i think he is out.
[12] You know Shea was torn down in 2008, right?
Chase comes up short.
Thank goodness Tanaka didn't pull a Wang.
[17] Yeah, that's always embarrassing, right on camera.
Oh, wait, I see what you meant now.
[17] speaking of wang:

oh that's a first! My comment is awaiting moderation!

Fuck you for jinxing him, Flash.
Goddamn it.
Damn
groan
Lucas hits one long and high
Du-da, Du-da...
Nice work, seamus!
My first time as a home owner : )
[15] I cling to my denial thereof. Don't begrudge me that.
[22] dude, congrats!
Thelarmis, congrats on the closing!
You're our new closer.
Sux having to root for the sox again tonight...
[28] to help reinforce the mirage that Shea Stadium still exists...

Seamus, remember your numbering is going to be off now. Subtract one from all your comment ref numbers if you want them to match our numbering.
[17] I was thinking about that too. Also (speaking of Shea), wasn't it at Shea where Hideki twisted his ankle out in left to break his streak?
Thanks, guys!!!
I am honored to be your new closer. I can play Enter Sandman on the marimba. (Master of Puppets too)
[33] doh. thanks RI! I was just wondering why [32] referenced [21] when it should reference [22].
[21] Congratulations, my friend! That must feel great!
[32] Yeah, no kidding. I had to replace my freaking roof two years ago, ouch. Will spend thousands on painting this coming April.
[29] Coffee is for him, only.
[31] Hahaha!
I appreciate the good feelings, rbj ; )

We were given free tickets to Elton John tonight, so I'll check in later...
Really excited to share this wonderful news with you guys - my online family! : )
GO YANKS!!!
[43] awesome. Enjoy the show!
[39] You call yourself a relief pitcher, you son of a bitch?
Oh, I went on the horn tangent coz I thought rbj spelled it wrong. Turns out, he typed home without the e. hard to see on the iPhone!
I'll throw the horns anyway...
\m/
i miss grandy
ok, i feel sad everyone is missing out on science since my post got flagged. But go to this link and scroll down to the "PHYSIOLOGY and ENTOMOLOGY PRIZE."
[46] :)
[47] Right?
[48] Why that one in particular?
[51] oh, just the wang component. It sort of made sense in that moment in my head. But of course, I tried to quote it and the system didn't like that.
Not liking this
Whew.
phew indeed
Better
[21] Congrats, Nostra!
ok, hope yinz can carry the load. i've gotta step out. Let's Go Yanks!
Tanaka in control, now get some runs
Crap, I'm scheduled for Cubs Cards tomorrow, because, Midwest. Will be late anyhow as I need new tires
Thanks, cult!
Man, that 1-2 to Didi was a great pitch.
Good cut...hang in there, Didi.
Nice and easy...just redirect the baseball...
Damn.
Oh, wow!
Really? He beat that out?
How on earth did that happen?
Spidi Didi!
Pinch hitter please.
[65] Flores stopped and set, just to be sure he made a good throw... usually a wise move, but not this time.
I don't know that I've ever seen anyone simply beat out a routine grounder to short before.
Wow.
[67] They would have walked a pinch hitter...
It won't let me say "Fuck" because apparently I already said that.
He let Ryan bat. OMG.
Uh, Brendan Ryan, Joe???
[71] I vaguely remember that occasion.
[72] [73] See [70].
I would have been bases loaded and the pitcher would have batted this inning instead of next.
Let's go Yankees. The drummer can't be homeless! That joke is debunked! Congratulations thelarmis (Eric)!
This is a little scary, the game.
It's amazing that Henry Kissinger is still alive.
[71] add an exclamation point or something. I think even messing with upper & lower case works.
Man, that was a great K.
[78] 92 is the new 80.
[79] Cheers!
[81] Damn. 92.
Motherfucker!
His kryptonite.
Fuck. Fuck. Fuck. Fuck.
Ugh.
[86] Did you say that already?
To quote Mr. Kissinger
"Each success only buys an admission ticket to a more difficult problem."
What will the Yankees do now?
Yeah, pinch hit
Way to get there, Tanaka.
Must pinch hit.
You think Jacoby could take a pitch?
Well go figure.
That looks like the ballgame, huh?
That's your ballgame, folks.
I feel so deflated.
Jeebus.
[95] Blame Brady
I usually don't bitch about managers but Joe has many right handed relievers at his disposal. I also can't stand that he continues to play Ryan and Drew.
Shreve averages one long ball per inning lately.
Is there Slade Magic available?
Shite
Boo me!
Fucking Murphy.
Night all.
Never a dull moment. Congrats on the house. thelarmis. 5 years in mine. Good times.
[104] thanks, just fair! i hope the yanks won on your closing day : )
outside of that, it's been spectacular!
