Looking at the radar, it doesn't look good.
Wednesday day night DH?

2 rbj   ~  Sep 29, 2015 6:10 pm

Wait, what, another lead off double?

3 rbj   ~  Sep 29, 2015 6:18 pm

Rats, loss of the challenge.

4 rbj   ~  Sep 29, 2015 6:21 pm

This is bad.

5 Ara Just Fair   ~  Sep 29, 2015 6:21 pm

Holy Fuck.

8 kenboyer made me cry   ~  Sep 29, 2015 6:35 pm

Maybe they come back? If not pray for a hard rain.

9 kenboyer made me cry   ~  Sep 29, 2015 6:36 pm

Strike three Arod.

10 rbj   ~  Sep 29, 2015 6:37 pm

Alex got hosed

11 rbj   ~  Sep 29, 2015 6:39 pm

12 kenboyer made me cry   ~  Sep 29, 2015 6:41 pm

Beltran is a wonder.

13 rbj   ~  Sep 29, 2015 6:42 pm

Dustin! Two more

14 kenboyer made me cry   ~  Sep 29, 2015 6:42 pm

Yay! Hackley!

15 kenboyer made me cry   ~  Sep 29, 2015 6:43 pm

Playing Fenway style in Yankee Stadium.

16 thelarmis   ~  Sep 29, 2015 6:44 pm

Baseball.

17 rbj   ~  Sep 29, 2015 6:52 pm

Good second, Pineda

18 kenboyer made me cry   ~  Sep 29, 2015 6:53 pm

Reset, Big Pine 2.0...

19 Alex Belth   ~  Sep 29, 2015 6:56 pm

Okay, so this started as one of the worst games of the year and the bottom of the first suggested that it could end up being one of the best. Down 6 runs they respond with 4 and it's a ballgame. Especially after a clean 2nd inning by Pineda.

LET'S GO YANK--EES!

Gardner has to be playing hurt. I heard that he has the worst BA in the American League since the All Star Break. Didn't check that, but if not than close.

21 kenboyer made me cry   ~  Sep 29, 2015 7:08 pm

Do you think Brock Holt was named in honor of Lou Brock?

22 rbj   ~  Sep 29, 2015 7:21 pm

Phew, no collision

23 rbj   ~  Sep 29, 2015 7:29 pm

Mofuckingdammit!

24 Alex Belth   ~  Sep 29, 2015 7:30 pm

That fly ball out sums up the whole season doesn't it?

25 kenboyer made me cry   ~  Sep 29, 2015 7:31 pm

There's more chances and the team is hitting the ball hard.

26 Alex Belth   ~  Sep 29, 2015 7:32 pm

Sorry, maybe THAT play summed it up.

27 Alex Belth   ~  Sep 29, 2015 7:37 pm

Way to recover at least.

28 Alex Belth   ~  Sep 29, 2015 7:37 pm

3 runs is still doable.

29 rbj   ~  Sep 29, 2015 7:42 pm

I go tonrefreshen my drink and there's another Shit Sox run?

30 Alex Belth   ~  Sep 29, 2015 7:43 pm

Brutal, Alex. BRU-Tal, man.

31 kenboyer made me cry   ~  Sep 29, 2015 7:44 pm

DP hitting machine.

32 Alex Belth   ~  Sep 29, 2015 7:49 pm

Perfect time for the rain to start. When the Yanks are down and it's late enough to be a complete game.

33 rbj   ~  Sep 29, 2015 7:55 pm

Only start Tanaka if the mound is dry.

34 rbj   ~  Sep 29, 2015 7:56 pm

I hate Bradley

35 Alex Belth   ~  Sep 29, 2015 7:57 pm

By the way if my friend Scott Smith happens to look at this thread, you know what you can do.

36 Alex Belth   ~  Sep 29, 2015 7:57 pm

34) God, that was a nice catch by Bradley, better than the other ones. He's going full speed there. Fuck.

37 rbj   ~  Sep 29, 2015 8:05 pm

I'll forgive Ackley that

38 rbj   ~  Sep 29, 2015 8:09 pm

Phew, still winnable

39 thelarmis   ~  Sep 29, 2015 8:14 pm

Fuckin' Markus and another stoopid homerun.

I don't know who Brock was named after, but Betts's name is Markus. There's only ONE Mookie...and his last name is Wilson.

40 Alex Belth   ~  Sep 29, 2015 8:15 pm

Occasionally, Mike? Bird gets struck out on the high heater almost every night.

41 kenboyer made me cry   ~  Sep 29, 2015 8:28 pm

Yanks have to win two more if they want the WC at home. Stop the drama, and show some Clipper pride.

( plus we have tickets to the WC game if at the Stadium)

42 rbj   ~  Sep 29, 2015 8:33 pm

Aw fuck

43 kenboyer made me cry   ~  Sep 29, 2015 8:35 pm

Veh iz mir

44 thelarmis   ~  Sep 29, 2015 8:37 pm

Fucking FUCK!!!

Goddamn, I loathe these fucking scumsuckers.

I really want our 10,000th win against them...

45 kenboyer made me cry   ~  Sep 29, 2015 8:43 pm

Two more chances for the 10K win v the Sox.

46 thelarmis   ~  Sep 29, 2015 8:44 pm

I can't believe we let this fucking joker throw 8 innings.

Total fucking bollocks.

47 Alex Belth   ~  Sep 29, 2015 8:47 pm

41) I like your thinking. They're just making us sweat a little.

Hang in there, fellas.

48 thelarmis   ~  Sep 29, 2015 8:49 pm

Please don't let them get to double digits.

49 kenboyer made me cry   ~  Sep 29, 2015 8:50 pm

[47] yeah, but with what we are seeing, how will this team compete with the elite teams in the playoffs? I guess Tanaka and hopefully Severino can keep a lid on scoring, but then what?

50 thelarmis   ~  Sep 29, 2015 8:57 pm

Fuck.

51 rbj   ~  Sep 29, 2015 8:57 pm

Night all. Hopefully we get the second WC.

52 kenboyer made me cry   ~  Sep 29, 2015 9:02 pm

Back to the earlier point, Brett Gardner is batting .203 since the all star break. Not natural for him, something is up.

53 kenboyer made me cry   ~  Sep 29, 2015 9:14 pm

Now I'm feeling even more gloomy. Since the all star break, the Yankees have four of the top twelve lowest batting averages for players with 200+ plate appearances.

Gardner, McCann, Arod, Ellsbury.

If the pitching hadn't been decent, Beltron hot, and Bird making some remarkable meaningful hits, this team finishes below .500. Maybe things reset in the playoffs, but how?
