Two-Three, Break

IMG_1871

David Cone was part of the FOX broadcast yesterday and he helped make the Yankees’ come-from-behind win in Cleveland that much more enjoyable.

Nice job by our boys.

Never mind the break:

Let’s Go Yank-ees!

May I suggest the Yankees get a lead and hold it?

2 thelarmis   ~  Jul 10, 2016 12:24 pm

You may. Good suggestion. We were in position to take that early lead, but all we were able to do was drive the pitch count up to 23. Sigh...

Ouch!

4 rbj   ~  Jul 10, 2016 12:28 pm

Ah, a play! Turns into a DP

5 rbj   ~  Jul 10, 2016 12:48 pm

Bullshit strike, blue

6 rbj   ~  Jul 10, 2016 12:49 pm

Ha!

7 Alex Belth   ~  Jul 10, 2016 12:49 pm

That was the best at bat of the season. Hilarious!!!

And it serves Carrasco right for falling behind Ellsbury. That 3-2 power change he threw to Gardner was a nasty ass pitch. But then for Ellsbury to hit a homer after thinking he'd walked. When does that happen? Especially after a confrontation like that between a hitter and an ump, and who wins? Ellsbury because Carrasco throws a horseshit pitch. So the Indians get punished for the ump's stupidity. Excellent. How funny.

I said, get a lead and hold it, not give it right back.

10 thelarmis   ~  Jul 10, 2016 1:03 pm

Please keep this 3-run lead intact.

11 rbj   ~  Jul 10, 2016 1:04 pm

ASBreak is definitely needed right now.

12 rbj   ~  Jul 10, 2016 1:04 pm

Phew

13 rbj   ~  Jul 10, 2016 1:31 pm

Got that run back

14 RIYank   ~  Jul 10, 2016 1:48 pm

Nice!
But, too many pitches :-(

15 RIYank   ~  Jul 10, 2016 1:51 pm

I want to see Teixeira score. Then I'm gonna watch soccer.
Sorry.

16 RIYank   ~  Jul 10, 2016 1:53 pm

Hey, sweet!
Didi has turned into the second-best hitter on the team.

17 RIYank   ~  Jul 10, 2016 2:00 pm

I ACCEPT THAT ERROR.

Not too proud for it.

Now I'm off to a bigger ball, feet only.

18 rbj   ~  Jul 10, 2016 2:02 pm

Oh, two more. I should go do yard work more often. Except it's real hot.

I like it. Just came across this article about my former High School coach. One of the best guys I've ever known. We went from our English teacher to a Yankee. : ). http://www.baseballhall.org/discover/card-corner/1989-bob-geren-topps-card

25 rbj   ~  Jul 10, 2016 2:33 pm

26 rbj   ~  Jul 10, 2016 2:36 pm

Finally

27 rbj   ~  Jul 10, 2016 2:40 pm

Man a 10 run lead and now I'm nervous.

28 Ara Just Fair   ~  Jul 10, 2016 2:42 pm

That was one fugly inning.

29 thelarmis   ~  Jul 10, 2016 2:46 pm

I love that we have double digits. I don't love that they're about to also. I was digging that +10 run diff...

No W for Tanaka...

30 rbj   ~  Jul 10, 2016 3:35 pm

But for the errors, the Yankees would be leading 4-3

31 rbj   ~  Jul 10, 2016 3:40 pm

Come on, Eo

32 rbj   ~  Jul 10, 2016 3:44 pm

One down

33 rbj   ~  Jul 10, 2016 3:45 pm

Two down

34 rbj   ~  Jul 10, 2016 3:46 pm

Three down!

Nice work, Nathan

35 RIYank   ~  Jul 10, 2016 3:46 pm

Great, Nate!

No scoring yet in the soccer. Regulation almost over...

36 rbj   ~  Jul 10, 2016 3:51 pm

And France almost had it.

37 rbj   ~  Jul 10, 2016 4:19 pm

Portugal!

38 rbj   ~  Jul 10, 2016 4:33 pm

Congrats to the Portuguese
