Well Modamn! This has been The perfect season to not religiously watch most games. I always liked Nova. He was good and terrible. And Beltran always made me wonder what if he had signed in his prime. In honor of the housecleaning I finally tossed my VCR, which doesn't work and theVHS tapes (except one which was a friend's senior project, need to get it converted to DVD)

Smart moves, and it's about time. I bet they let the coach contracts run out and Cashman starts putting in either placeholders or guys who could potentially inherit Joe's spot and see how he adapts, and if he doesn't, then let him go where he chooses when his contract runs out (or if he starts mishandling the high prospects). I have to admit that Girardi was the better choice to manage the roster they had at the beginning of his tenure than Mattingly, but now that it's about to change significantly, it might be time for him to do the same, one way or the other.

I think Girardi has done an incredible job with this roster. But i'm concerned about how crazy inconsistent our starting pitchers are. Nova is going to turn into another perennial all star we couldn't fix.
