That what the Mets want to do tonight. More than that, they just need a win.
The Yanks. Well, we’re still root, root, rootin’ for our boys.
Never mind the ruckus:
Let’s Go Yank-ees!

No Tiex tonight? Fragile
I honestly don't understand why they can't just let this all play out naturally. Have they not already admitted they are not contenders this year? Why rattle the cages with your already disillusioned fans? It's like watching two spoiled-as-f@#@$ rich kids fighting over who gets to take the ball home before the rest of the neighborhood kids even get to play.
RISP, no outs, and no score? That sounds vaguely familiar
It's Andy!
Boo!
I dunno.
I just can't tell.
Eovaldi looks so good sometimes, and then he's terrible.
My girlfriend asked me if I wanted to watch this game on TV. I said no, I'd rather listen to it on the radio. My reasoning: I'd rather hear about how mediocre, yet unpredictable this team is than to actually see it.
It's as if the whole starting staff shows flashes of brilliance, but then has an inning where they go to pot
Getting beat by an old guy who's fastball has left him.
A run!
Scooter!
Still miss him
No Mark PH, or even Alex, with Brian moving to first and Austin behind the plate. Definitely a flip to the kids.
DP, night all, or anyone
IMHO, the post-Beltran Yankees offensive suck level is no worse than A-Rod's personal suck level.
Let him go for 700 for fuck's sake. Gah!
It seems like they are fixated on humiliating the hell out of him. Or is that all in my imagination?
For those who don't already know, Tex is announcing his retirement when this season is over at 3:00pm. Hope AB can have a link up about it (I'll be stuck at work), but just in case, we can headline the discussion here. More on the announcement:

(if this turns out to be less than true, you can blame ESPN...
I was just about to post that about Tex. Whoa!
[15] Makes sense. Good move.
Wonder if this means he ends with the Yanks, or if somebody in a race thinks he can help as a rental. He's been a fine player 'cept when injured. Class act. Great glove. Even with 400 HR, no HOF for the guy.
I think a case could be made for him because of the company he's in as a switch hitter and Gold Glover, but the injuries and yeah, 14 years makes him Mattingly 2.0. Which is still not bad...
Per baseball reference, none of his most similar hitters is in the HOF, but HOF monitor gives him a 108, with the average likely HOF around 100. But he's below average on HOF Standards. He's not going in in five years.
