The Yanks poured it on last night and beat the snot out of the Sox (8-0), backed by another stellar outing from ol’ C.C. Sabathia.
Nice be nice if they can take the series with a win tonight.
David Price—who is at odds with the Boston media—goes against our dude, Big Mike Pineda.
Never mind the chill (what month is this again?):
Let’s Go Yank-ees!
I'll take another eight shut out innings from the starter
Sheriff arrests another would be thief
Ouch. Rub some dirt in it, Didi.
The other night Kay and company talked about the Sox trading for Moustaka, whom I believe is a free agent at the end of the season, because Sandoval has been so bad. What do you guys think of the Yanks taking a flyer on him for a short term rental until Torres is ready to take over at third next season? He's certainly would make the lineup even more formidable. And lately Headley hasn't been doing much for the team.
Who's less worse this season, Panda or Headley?
Nerts
I knew if I went to get a drink the Yankees would score
Hi all.
[5] Panda is hitting better. But he's not good at the catching the ball part.
(7) stay hydrated, or inebriated; your choice.
Big Pine looks good, and probably motivated by CC.
I have to watch the four-letter network. :-(
Nice AB by Holliday.
Come on, eye on the ball, Starlin.
Cash him in.
Oh, that is fucking beautiful.
Hell yeah!
Gary pirice checked that meatball
Woo Hoo! Gary, Gary, he's our man...
[10] Condolences. Kay, Cone, O'Neil here
Just so you know, I'm sitting at the desk in my classroom on a quick break, saw that Gary was hitting .160 vs. southpaws and called that home run!!
Shutout still "inn tacked," RI
Red Sox Nation will be absolutely murdering Price tomorrow. I'm going to listen to the radio all day.
He isn't a deeply despicable person, but he is very easy to dislike, I must say.
I love seeing price struggle.
[19] Yep! You saw I filled in your expression for you yesterday, right?
I'm at the muting stage. I flick the sound on just before the pitch sometimes, in case the bat makes a nice sound, but it's just torture. I'd rather listen to Remy and O'Brien.
I did! It was after hours though...
Oh, duh, I can!
Now watching on NESN!
3 singles to center this inning
(20) imagine if Price played for the Mets, oy the analyst bills!
[24] Hey, I was in NOLA last month! It was awesome, I really loved it. Visiting the kid, of course.
Ugh, it was well struck Carter
At least we got his pitch count way up
Oh good lord.
That's Headley.
Our corner infielders are the only sub-par fielders on the team, aren't they?
Wow, that's a beautiful bunt.
Headley gets the error, but Carter shoulda had it, now a great bunt with no one to field. Trouble.
Bunting the right move there
Come back soon, Bird
Yeah!
Very nice! Well executed, even though Didi had a tiny bit of trouble.
I missed the Sherrif's tater :(
[23] Sutcliffe and David Ross would be completely unlistenable..
What happened with Price & Boston? They already got buyers remorse?
No 2 out unearned run bullshit.
Oh, no, really?
Sheesh.
FUCKING HORSE SHIT!
Yeesh. Harmful passed ball
[39] Yeah, the buyer's remorse. Because of the Price :-)
He's making $30 mil this year or something, and they're on the hook for escalating salary until 2022. And, he's a whiny, Twitter-happy excuse-maker, which they really hate here.
Sanchez sure does let a lot a balls through, just sayin'.
[44] Interesting..match made in heaven for us then! :)
For all the constant talk about how 'smart' the Sawx are, Bobby V, Handley in left, Panda, Carl Crawford, Joe Kelly...they make a lot of terrible decisions.
[46] Yeah, well, Hanley is DH now. He's not competent to play the field anymore. But you forgot Porcello, who was very good last year but isn't good now and is hugely overpaid, and Pomerantz, who is not paid much but they traded top prospects for him.
It's Dave Dombrowski. Do people really think he's smart?
[47] In another time and era, nobody would have thought a Dombrowski could be smart. Better now.
[47] Well, Dombrowski has won elsewhere..I meant the org as a whole is always held up as being so 'smart' because they hired Bill James..meanwhile they've had three last place finishes and several high profile misfires.
Blegh
Heh, yeah. It's true, he was successful in Detroit. But really he just wrote big checks; same when he engineered a good season with the Marlins.
Boston does have good young players--I think Cherington did a good job. But I'm glad Dombo is calling the shots now.
All is forgiven, Chase.
Where has Meredith been?
Another one!
Price pitches batting practice to Gary
The Sheriff!
Is YES talking about the infantile tantrum that Price threw last night? NESN is all over it.
https://youtu.be/vebGgGyKPyI
[57] Kay did earlier, and was almost sympathetic.
I do not approve of throwing things on to the field, especially at players. Even Shit Sawx
I missed a Franchise homer. Rats!
Aw crap, Saturdays game is on national tv. Chalk that up as a loss
Ah, Bahstahn has a bad pitcher in.
Judge Smash!
Abad is..a bad pitcher(rimshot!)
Judge's single the hardest hit ball in baseball all season, radio guys saying
Hot damn!
Should Judge participate in the HR Derby? I say no, but Yankee upper brass probably say yes, and Cashman and Girardi probably say no. He would probably win...
This is the Pineda I always imagined.
Definitely want Judge in HR Darby. It's BP for him
Babe Gardner strikes again! 8-1 is perfectly acceptable
Thank God for helmets
Run up the score.
Double digits is what we want
Got a hot date, blue?
That was a brutal call.
One down, thank you Toe
Put a star on that one. Wow.
Two down, both, um, "interesting" outs.
Dellin? OK
Great throw! Love tonight.
never heard of giving a pitcher the final out of a blowout because he needs work
Yup, he does need the work
Sub-optimal.
Me plus Headley for Panda, no cash?
Woo hoo, night all.
Nice hook. Cheers, all.
