Yanks beating the Sox, especially when they blow them out, never gets old and so Thursday’s 9-1 romp was a pleasure. David Price took a beatin’, led by Gary Sanchez who hit a couple of homers and had 5 RBI.
The Orioles are in town for the weekend and with it the weather has turned warm, positively summerish.
Never mind the climate shock:
Let’s Go Yank-ees!
Rays plater broke his hip sliding into first yesterday. Bet Cone mentions by the second inning
[1] That's why I think it's pointless to complain about possible injuries sliding headfirst. Dudes are going to get hurt playing baseball. Manny Machado wishes McCutchen went in headfirst.
Good start, Monty
Brett finding the left field gap sure is pretty.
Trying to shed the best baserunner label. Fuck.
Crap
Starlin gets one back
Gary SMASH. Love these guys.
At least Chase ties it up
Those O'Neil clips are funny
Yep, the Orioles just reduced their Win Expectancy by the successful bunt.
Oh, wait to go, Didi.
Bam.
Nice, Monty, very nice.
(And thanks for the free out, Buck.)
Rats
6 innings of 2 run, 5 hit ball from a rookie? Sign me up every time. Still, I'd run him out for the seventh
Oh, a lead. That usually happens when I go refresh my drink
Rats!
Excellent outing by Monty. Bullpen time
7 strong from J-Mo!
Really good outing for Monty.
Was that guy 13 in WWII? Looks in great shape
And with the successful sacrifice, the Yankees lower their win expectancy. (But only by about a half a percent.)
Fuck yeah Aaron!!
Kaboooooom!
And what's their win expectancy now?
Happy Aaron Hicks Day!
I hope Judge makes it Aaron-to-Aaron!!
Strawberry-like. Whip it good.
I missed Aaron's first dinger. Figured they would've shown it during his AB, but no...
[25] Oh, well, the bunt turns out to be irrelevant, let's just say. (It's about 95% now.)
Hell yes!
Beautiful baseball!
I'll accept that
Of course, Tejada is having himself a good game against us...
You all know who the current AL WARP leader is, right?
Ellsbury who?
it would be crazy if hicks doesn't make the all star game
It's Hicks Day in the field, too.
Hot damn. Sweet leather.
Well, anyway, it's [35] Aaron Judge.
From last year's roster clog, to All Star roster player this year. Hicks tricks us, I wanted him gone last year.
Can we get to double digits?
Go Yankees!
Austintacious!
[41] That was very poetic.
Oooh, recused.
However, the inning was acceptable. I ACCEPT THAT INNING.
Happy birthday Holder
One down
I expect Holder to get sent down tomorrow. And then he strikes Schoop out.
Three down! Night all.
Cheers, y'all. Happy Friday.
