Yanks came home and got pounded by the Angels as their slump continues.
Big Mike was deliberate to the point of being insufferable and also not that good. But it was the bullpen again that shit the bed.
Final Score: Angels 8, Yanks 3.
More tonight. After an afternoon shower it is hot and humid.
Something’s gotta give.
Never mind the bitchin’ and moaning’:
Let’s Go Yank-ees!

Boo, lead off walk
Ok, no harm, no foul
I'll accept that lead off walk
How can he not swing at that? He should've hit that outta the stadium...
Ha! Sound fundamentals by Team Scioscia
Bam.
Love Didi.
Oh, [3] thanks for taking over the important role of accepting things in my absence.
I'm going to have to go to the kitchen for drinks more often
hi fans. nice to tune in to a lead.Dido is pretty terrific
that's Didi
rbj... what are you drinking? maybe we all should
Um.
Scioscia is a genius.
Sacrificing down two runs in the third. Who else would think of that?
[11] Vodka tonic
I'm with rye on the rocks. seems to be working. nice ab for AJ.
First-pitch swinging is paying off tonight.
Second-pitch, not so much.
That was weird
Ah, balk
Modammit
Motherfucker.
Dammit.
I am still steaming over JoeyJoeJoe's BP shenanigans yesterday..
Ugh
Yay Matt!
What the hell is Clippard doing up?
Phew
I'm extremely riled up an it's only 1015 here...and now the radio playing that awful new Oasis song..I may need a coffee break
Lettuce be thankful for Austin
Line drive in the box score
[25] Leaving the building and team?!
[30] don't get my hopes up
[34] I'm going on a beer run in a few minutes. Would you like me to pick you up some more vodka?
[32] Nostralarmis now predicting future Banter comments?
[32] 34? Hmm,some sort of weird space time continuum warp? With The Binder dictating bullpen usage I may need some Everclear. 191 proof
Green for the 8th, then Dellin
[34] Those were the days. Back in college. Garbage container filled with Everclear and Kool-Aid. Make sure the girls drink it. Shennigans to follow. Weird high, as far as al-kee-haul goes.
[36] we called it Purple Jesus. Various other substances may have also been consumed. 1980s were . . . a different decade.
I'm gonna make a bold prediction. This is the game that gets the Bombers back on track. Very bold. ;>)
[37] I hear that. As I remember, with Everclear you felt totally sober until you were totally shite-faced.
[37] I remember my first exposure to Mary Jane was the upper deck in YS-2 back in 1983.
Moar runz!
[40] Me, too. But it was in box teams and my dad complained to the ushers.
[42] uh, make that "box seats"
[42] As far as I know, many ushers at YS-2 were supplying green accompaniment to the pretzels..
Chris Carter in for defense? I guess "that's what we have."
[40] lower level RF seats, 1988-89. It was Wild West territory in the day. Have since become responsible. Darn you "growing up" thing.
Wow, Pujols has aged
[45] Hah!!
[46] I know it was filthy and rowdy but I miss the old stadium.
Chase on base 3 times.
Alright, headed out on the beer run!
[49] I'll take an Imperial Stout, then a light wheat beer for the night cap please.
[48] Yes nostalgia. But at least you can confidently take your young daughter or aged old folks to the new stadium. The last time I went to YS2 with my old man, in his early 80s, it was a terror dome, even at field level.
Wait, we're being threatened with Clippard? I'd ease Chapman in.
[52] Trying to make it interesting.
[53] It is not interesting.
It was a strike, chipmunk
Why the FUCK is Clippard pitching in this game??? You can't keep running him out there every fucking night. Give him a breather and pay some other team to take him. Christ almighty!
Feel bad for the guy but he's cooked. Not his fault.
Bus ticket to Piscataway. Where there isn't a team
Wow. Just fucking wow. We really need Cashman to rod GI Joe of this fucking guy.
Carter & Clippard: Two Ex-Ball-Players who open a detective agency in NYC. Possibly tv pitch?
That was tough to watch. Let's admit, very few us have to face angry fans during and after a bad day at the office.
One down.[60] Hmm, they constantly screw up but somehow they get the job done.
Two down
[60] CSI NY: Special Victims Unit
Three down! Night all
[62] Carter the gentle, contemplative giant, Clippard the wiry, bespectacled hot-head. The original odd-couple!
First place!
[65] Crocket & Tubbs?
As we say in Japan, "Game, set-toh"
A win! I'm just happy to see that.
For what it's worth, Clippard needs at least a week of rest. He is, as someone else in here said, toast right now. But I think with that rest he can serve us fine for the stretch run. But as a 5th option, not one of the big three relievers.
