Are you kidding me? Down 1-0 in the 9th, the Yanks tie the game on a Matt Holliday home run and it takes them 16 innings to outlast the Sox, 4-1.
And today gives a day-night doubleheader.
Summertime, summertime, sum-sum-summertime.
Never mind the bollocks:
Let’s Go Yank-ees!
I'm still exhausted from yesterday
Phew #1
Out!
A run, woohoo
Shut up Farrell
Yay, Didi!
Fuck. Clippard is warming up...
We needs more runs. Many of them!
Line drive in the box score for Judge
Of course Clippard gives up a leadoff hit. CC was hitting 95 (!) in the 6th; let him start the 7th...
Oh gawd, Clippard. Shudder
Good job, Tyler
I've caught 2 hours of this game on fhe radio. Sterling has a serious man crush on Frazier. Lol...
Good play, Didi.
One down
Two down
Reminds me of Manny
Three down!
See ya'll in a couple of hours.
Shutout!
Winter is coming. And so are the Yankees! Whoo-hoo!
caught the last 2 innings on the radio. Got the mlb package for tonight (here on Cooperstown).
All right let's to this
mlb blacked out here! yech, John and Susan.
[22] on ESPN
Tanaka off to a good start. Holding my breath but hoping for the best.
Ronald!
At least that was well struck by Judge
My internet has been crap all day and it's still officially down for the count again.
Mine was down all morning. Withdrawal is not pretty
Markus Fucking betts. Dammit!
[28] it's my tv as well as news and such. Argh
Hey thelarmis. Sorry I missed you in PA. Life just kind of took over.
Ok let's see some better at bats yanks.
Coop!
I've settled for the audio feed after battling over the video stream.
Cooper cartered that
Can't blame the bats for going quiet after this weekend
Ugh.
Phew.
[36] for sure they must be tired. Hopefully they can rally though.
I'm tapping outt. Job search resumes in the morning
G'night.
Tanaka! We just need some runs!
Jesus. Hit too high but damn it.
That was a huge momentum swing obviously. Holliday had a terrible at bat to follow. We should have done damage that inning and almost did.
It's odd that out of Gregorious, Castro, Headley, and Torreyes one player started every game in this series and it was Torreyes. Castro is not shocking with the injury but it seems ridiculous when playing the first place team to play our reserve infielder the most.
Didi!
Oh well. Not our night. Judge getting robbed sealed it. G'night all.
Clint batting second
Crud
The Judge denies that request for a run
Sigh
Garrett cooper, the next Yankee star!
Don't forget Caleb Smith
It's Bartolo!
Bartolo??
Yup. Braves released him earlier because he's bad this year. So of course he'll be great tonight
Well this is definitely not good
Oy
All things considered, phew
Bart had an 8.00 ERA in the NL, tonight he's going to throw a shutout with 15 Ks?
And we'll lose 1-0
Incoming!
The Yankees are “very close” to a deal that would bring Todd Frazier, David Robertson and Tommy Kahnle to New York, reports Jon Heyman of FanRag Sports (on Twitter). Bruce Levine of CBS Chicago first tweeted that the Yankees were the “closest” team to landing that trio.
THE ALABAMA HAMMER RETURNS! (maybe)
What are we giving up?
[61] !!!??? But...why?
No reporting on that yet.
Tigers got 3 MiLB IF prospects for JD Martinez
And Cessa pulls an Andy Hawkins to boot
Well at least that possibility is gone
July 23rd at Treasure Island Resort & Casino in Minnesota, it's The Steve Miller Band and Peter Frampton! Good to see summer in the US is still killing it with classic rock :)
Odd, the following comment went into moderation..added spaces here, wonder what the trigger word is?
July 23rd at T reasure I sland Resort & C asino in Minnesota, it's The Steve Miller Band and Peter Frampton! Good to see summer in the US is still killin g it with c lassic r ock :)
Must be the gambl!ng word. Roulexxe has the same effect
White Sox beat reporter:
Brian Bilek@BrianBilek_ 8:49 PM
Look for Blake Rutherford in the return for #WhiteSox.
[70] Ah right. Was about to mail Alex and as what he has against Peter Frampton
Sir Didi!
Rutherford? Well a physicist going to Chicago is not unprecedented
This new pitcher has to be half the weight of Bartolo. I.e., a semi-colon. Ok, I'll show myself out
[75] Take my wife, please.
[73] He's really been better than I expected when they traded for him.
Got a couple of job leads to pursue in the morning. Night all
9:27pm: MLB.com’s Mark Feinsand tweets that the White Sox would indeed take Clippard’s contract back in the trade as a means of offsetting some salary. Sherman tweets that there will be no cash considerations exchanging hands. Clippard is earning $6.125MM this year in the second season of a two-year, $12.25MM pact. About $2.5MM of that sum is still owed to the veteran reliever, so he’ll offset roughly one quarter of the nearly $10MM the Yankees are adding to the payroll by taking on the salaries of Robertson and Frazier.
Square Dancing with Betances.
Buffalo Twins come around the outside, 'round the outside...
Finally. For once could ya make it uninteresting, Dellin.
Phew....Get it together, Betances. Holy shite.
[77] Seems like Hal is keen to create a team of guys with the same names or guys we've know before.
Mantle and Maris. Eminem.
[83] Murcer & Munson.
[83] Balboni and Espinoza
C'mon Chapman! Get it together
I remember the days when the 8th & 9th innings were boring. Sigh.
Maybe Chappy is aiming for that target on the back stop.
Game, set-oh!
Winning is better. Cheers, y'all.
Rubber game tomorrow!
nice win. can we cut todd frazier before he plays for us? His lifetime stats show that he is chris carter part 2. I wish we would just stop with these players.
but not to be all downer, happy to have the hammer back! And the other reliever looks good which I imagine is the point.
