Snowpening Day

Yeah, the snow is coming down here this morning in the Bronx. Ah, memories of 1996 home’s opener will abound today. Well, that’s okay—at least it will make us forget how things played out yesterday in Toronto (about which the less said the better in an irritating 7-4 loss).

Bundle up and bring on the Hot Cocoa.

Oh, yeah, and: Let’s Go Yank-ees!

Huh. Snowed out. Why dont these norther teams start out in a dome. Oh, wait, they did.
Grumble.

They should have played the game.

If memory serves, that 1996 team did all right.

Meanwhile, Minnesota looks to be my least favorite team of 2018, unless Paul Molitor opens his mouth and cleanses the stupid out of the clubhouse...

Shoot, I'm supposed to go on Wednesday... but the weather doesn't look good.
The worst case is that it's borderline, so I have to make the schlepp, and then they call it. Oh well, I guess I'd just spend the afternoon in the city...

[3] Saw that. If you don’t like it, don’t use the shift. We’re all begging guys to but against the shift

[5] Hope more players decide to do it; it's so annoying when the gameplay becomes predictable. There has to be a good combination of Torre and Girardi in Boone (at least I hope so)...

[3] That is unbelievable. What a dick Dozier is. The idiocy of criticizing another player for trying to get on base and rattle the pitcher is just mind boggling. Oh, you can shift, but we can't bunt. Fuck that noise.

[5] Hear, hear. Win by all means necessary.

16 Greg G   ~  Apr 3, 2018 4:52 pm

17 rbj   ~  Apr 3, 2018 4:59 pm

Sir Didi! A win-iz-a-win, but why is JHolder in the majors? Can't seem to get anyone out..

31 Boatzilla   ~  Apr 4, 2018 12:15 am

[14] You should be working for Sterling. That's great!

He needs a new one for Giancarlo.

32 Boatzilla   ~  Apr 4, 2018 12:42 am

BTW, booing Stanton is inexcusable. Jerks.

33 thelarmis   ~  Apr 4, 2018 12:43 am

DIDI!!!

And, yeah, Holder can’t hold em; needs to go down.

Trayce Thomson will probably come up for a few days and hit multiple home runs before going in his merry way. I remember sitting right behind him in the right field bleachers for Yogi Berra Day a few years ago.
