[10] Adam Jones happened. One mistake. Then the "usual" bullpen breakdown. This time the culprit was Chad Green He had been too good so far, I guess.
[16] Worried that there will be an over-reliance on the bullpen; noting that they're "really good" doesn't mean that they won't burn out with overuse. There should be a way to get 6-7 innings from your starters early on so you don't wear out a Chad Green or Tommy Kanhle or especially Betances and Chapman before you even get out of April. This is definitely not the season to lock guys into strict roles.
Problem is, do you really blame that on Boone thinking that Cashman and Co. are likely making the calls?
[17] Well we can't expect CC to go more than 5 or 6. Sevi and Tanaka should be able to go 7 or 8 when they are on. Gray is still a mystery. He throws too many pitches. Monty is young. It will be interesting to see how it breaks down going forward.

[18] Hard to get a starter to consistently pitch 7 innings when everyone seems to be on an 80-90 pitch count. I was just reading an article the other day about how nobody seems to remember the White Sox winning the World Series in 2005. I think even fewer remember them getting four straight complete games against the ‘stros in that series. Getting one much less multiple complete games in a month these days is like challenging the 56 game hitting streak.
So much for our vaunted bullpen.
