1) That it is!!! The wedding present that still keeps giving.
Yeah, I have heard good things about this particular iteration of the Braves. Even from Met fans. But the tomahawk chants are too much for me to countenance. It’s the one ballpark in the country I would refuse to go to based on that alone.
[2] Completely agree. My issue with that chant is that the organization could address it, but they choose not to. There are times when the organist actively encourages it. If they wanted to condemn the chant -- and why the hell don't they? -- they could easily do so. People say that it's the fans, it's the fans... But they could be listening, and whenever it starts up, they could encourage some other chant. "Let's Go Braves!"
I friend of mine is a huge Braves fan, and he talks about how conflicted he is about the whole thing. He even came up with the best idea I've ever heard: rename the team the Atlanta Hammers, in honor of Aaron. I mean, I'd buy that jersey in a heartbeat.
I was listening to the Mariners' broadcast when Alvarez came up. Just before he hit his home run, the announcers were gushing about what a great season he's had. "He finished in the top eight in the league in ELEVEN offensive categories!"
It just points out how ridiculous Judge's season was. He LED THE LEAGUE in eleven offensive categories.
I don't know who to root for in the first game. Atlanta seems to have a classy organization. But Phils fans are so long-suffering.
Alex, that looks like a Le Creuset enamel pot! Anyway I have a dutch oven that looks like that.

Radar not looking good for tonight

Sad sax vibes...
Meanwhile, look at these scrappy Mariners! (But try not to think about Luís Castillo in the Yankee rotation.)

They got me up all night just to see Nestor.
Start time in Japan 2:07 AM.
So I take a quick nap and miss Stanton's HR.
Nice start!
More runs, please.
Nestor Nasty with the leather.
Bullpen is nails.
Let's go!
I may have to it the hay. 2-2 after 6.
Not a good 7th for Bomber Batters. I am done.
I hope I wake up to a happy ending.
