It’s Sir C.C. on the Yankees’ final day in Colorado. Always fun to see the big guy swing the bat.

Never mind the getaway:
Let’s Go Yank-ees!
Of course, I won't get to watch the game...
Going through the game thread last night (yes, I'm trying to stay connected to my Banter family amidst my hectic schedule...), I believe it was Ken Boyer who mentioned something about seeing a show at Red Rocks.
I performed there 2 summers ago. Sold out show on a Saturday night. Might be the very best venue I've ever played in my life - stateside or overseas!
I walked around the whole place while it was empty and took it all in. Very cool. I got some good photos, too. I should put one of them up at my website...
GO SABS!!! GO YANKS!!!
Rain Delay.
This dude is nibbling.
Damn, Vern.
Cashman is a genius.
Oh! I thought he was out.
Hm, can't tell. Probably safe by a hair.
Oh, good, Rob limping. Just what you want to see.
Robbie got hit #1500?
Good job Stewart
[8] Yeah, infield hit.
[10] Thanks, ugh, rain delay.
More rain. Wunnerful.
Per lohud, tarp is off the field.
Curtis starting in SWB.
Fuck yeah.
Nice catch Ben.
Ben Francisco!
Hm, the leap was kind of extraneous. Still, good play.
Nice. So Warren will have enough gas to get to the Big Guys.
Double switch! How exciting!!! Baseball the way it was meant to be played!!!!!
/sarc
Ugh.
Courage, Adam Warren!
Wow ... game not over yet?
Thanks, rain, I figured I'd have missed it by the time I got home.
Boooooooooone!
[21] Sure, we'd rather have you for the late innings than CC anyway.
Well played, young Preston.
Rut roh.
Hm. Not so good.
Joe Joe, you batted your pitcher eighth yesterday. How about you bring in your closer in the most important situation in the game?
No, I know.
As far as bad outings go, this isn't so bad for Claiborne.
BTW, I'm renaming him Claiborne Pell, because that's funnier.
More double switching! I can't contain myself
[28] He faced four batters and three of them got hits. If you think that's not too bad, I bet you'd love John Lackey.
I do appreciate your homage to Rhode Island, however.
Hammered.
[30] All singles with a double play mixed in.
It could have been a Joba inning with walks and doubles and homers.
Would have liked a little offense there ...
[32] Okay, I didn't realize you had set the bar at Joba. In that case, not bad at all.
And I do give him credit for the DP, since he could easily have screwed up the play. (You didn't see it, right? He fielded the grounder, set himself, waited for Rob to get into position, and threw, and Rob had no trouble turning it.)
I hope Joe has had enough fun for today and will just let D-Rob pitch the inning.
Uh oh.
That's more like it. HAMMERED.
Forget the damn base runner! Jeez.
Attaboy.
Yes!
Bring down the HAMMER.
Satisfying.
Nails, meet Hammer.
Ouchie!
The ol' bunt off the knee trick.
One.
Two.
3 games at Coors.
Between 2 good teams.
A TOTAL of 11 RS between both teams.
I wonder how many times that has happened at Coors.
HBP WTF.
Ouch.
drat
Thanks be to Mo.
Mile High All Rise.
Ah, Mo.
Hooray!
Nice job.
Praise be to Mo.
