“I have learned over the years that there comes a rare and precious moment where there is absolutely nothing better than silence. Nothing better to be absolutely speechless to sum up a situation. And that was the moment. Holy mackerel.”–Vin Scully.

Nice
Gotta wonder if this kid is gonna just take off and not look back or if this is one of those hot starts you see sometimes.
Also, that was a meatball
love the juxtaposition between the two announcers.
scully's beautiful silence versus bellicose hollering.
Oh, I wish we had somebody like Vince. Can you just imagine how Sterling would ruin that moment?
4) Or Michael Kay.
[3] Somehow, if Sterling were calling it, the ball would manage to die on the warning track!
[1] J.P. Arencibia had a huge start to his career in his first few games in 2010; needless to say he's not quite lived up to that first couple of weeks.
[5] Well yeah that's why I said "one of those" hot starts ... It's a definite phenomenon (get it??) in baseball, and wayyyyy more common than Mike Trout, which seems to be where the conversation always heads with this guy. Which is ridiculous, of course.
[6] Haha...the phenom-phenomenon. I like it!
I was up late earlier this week and caught this dude's first homer. An absolute rocket line drive to the opposite field. He flew around the bases full speed and his teammates went bonkers. It did seem like a movie. Puig (rhymes with tree from what I hear) has put on a nice show for Dodger fans so far.
[8] Braves announcers on the radio last night called him "Pweeg"
I don't know about tearing up the league, but that put-out he made to end the game a few days ago... he's just good... eager, heads-up, and strong as a mutha.
