I've taken to watching the games on my computer. When I see a rally I switch to Yes. Lately, there is no need.

I'm giving everyone fair warning who wasn't around me in 2001-03...I'm an unabashed Soriano fanboy. And yes I know all of his flaws, and they're totally legit. What can I say? I have a soft spot for him.

Although 26 K's in 2003 almost gave me a stroke.

i dig Sori, too. my brother has an original #33 shirt, before he switched to #12. (i think that's correct)

they keep talking about he's 11 hits shy of 2,000 and 11 homers away from 400. he's also creeping up on 1,100 runs and 1,100 rbi. more important, for me, is that he's 20 stolen bases away from the 300-300 club! he already has 10 SB's this season (with 5 CS...). i'd love for him to reach 300 stolen bases with us next season.

Melky may not be entirely bright. Did he not see Ichiro almost get picked off? Ugh.

And I get to watch mlb.com on the computer at work. The blessings of not listening to YES or to CBS. Of course, I keep the sound off too, but it is in high-fed.

Since I'm away from NY, a lot of my in-game info comes from GameCast. And it's striking to me just how often the scoring plays I see sound like "scored on fielder's choice."

"X out at second, Y scored, Z safe at first."

Like as few runs as the Yankees are scoring, they're limping into half of those. I don't pretend to support this with stats. It's just a gestalt feeling.

Sneaking a peak. I wonder how much productivity declines at NYC offices the result of these mid-week day games? Even for the current team that you really have to pay attention to to appreciate.

Where would the Yankees be this year without Kuroda?

I know...should be "sneaking a peek".

Uh.
What the hell was that? Was that Nunez' fault, or Adams'?

19 RIYank   ~  Jul 25, 2013 4:04 pm

It was Adams' fault.

Thanks be to Mo.

Aah, the art which is Mo.

[19] On reply, the only chance was Nuney taking it to second. Adams was way in the hole. You would think that with Perchinski (sp) running it would have been an easy DP. BUT...it don't faze no Mo. A Yankee win by the method they really only can this year.

Like the Macombs Dam bridge, Li'l Bridge is a Yankee favorite lately.
