Derek Jeter SS
Jacoby Ellsbury CF
Carlos Beltran DH
Brian McCann C
Alfonso Soriano RF
Yangervis Solarte 3B
Kelly Johnson 1B
Brian Roberts 2B
Never mind the horseshit:
Let’s Go Yank-ees!

I still like this stupid thing.
At least it's only four games and not six.
That didn't take long.
Quick question: WTF is up with those ridiculous white-brimmed hats?
Oh, come on -- I'm six minutes late and this is what I find??
Alright Derek.
[4] special Subway Serious caps? Because the Yankees aren't making enough money?
It's part of their deal with New Era caps per game day blog.
According to a tweet by YES, the Yankees are wearing the hats as part of their partnership with New Era. So, exactly what you said….
I am disgusted beyond belief by those hats. These are the Yankees, if other teams want to play dress up every night, fine. Not the Yankees. When they wore the cap last year, Jeter was hurt but on the bench and he refused, wearing the real hat the first few innings and none the rest of the game, after I assume someone from New Era complained.
I could care less what hat they wear. Oops, McCann singles!
Rally?
No plays, please!
Hey, thanks!
Uh.
Hurry back, Teix.
Jesus H christ.
Wow!!!
Brettski!
Wow is right. Damn.
Say hello to my lil' friend!!
Oh yeah, Colon. I remember now.
Very Gritty
I always miss out on the Grand Salami! Was distracted by some quakin' earth plates here a few mins ago..
[22] Wow, really? Brett rocked YS2, but not that way. Should you go outside or something?
Put me down in hat hater column. Alabama football and the Yankees are my two favorite teams. Both have the best traditions in their respective sports and neither have changed their uniforms in forever...no need to start now.
[20] Right? True outcomes working for the Yankees? Who knew?
[22] If you see this country rockin', don't come a'knockin...
Honestly, it's about time somebody got tired of all this LOB crap and did something about it.
[24] But what about Robinson Day all wear 42, Memorial Day, July 4, Labor Day, Pink for Breast Cancer day (yesterday, I thought it was for Moms Day), Probably others I've left out.
(23) Unless you're in some dilapidated old building it's probably safer indoors. If near any bamboo trees (unlikely in city) go there, safest spot to be in.
I'm not a big fan of the multiple 42s, pink stuff or baby blue stuff either.
[28] As an "Ex Ad Man," I would freak out if/when they start putting brand logos on the uniforms, like NASCAR.
The red hats on the Fourth is horrible. At least let the Yankees use the 1914 hat. It's histprical.
[24] They both pay their players a lot too! haha couldn't help it. :)
How or Rose just talked about 'In 1996 there were a lot debates in the sports pages about which new NY shortstop was better, Jeter or Rey Ordonez'.... Poor Mets fans!
Kuroda Kruising.
[32] Bill Daughtry brought up Kaz Matsui on Saturday. It's definitely a thing with the Mets.
[24] both a little late embracing the beautiful mosaic
Nice catch by Hellsbells!
Hate the hats, if you wipe pine tar on the brim, ugh.
This game is really moving along.
OK actually watching game now. I can't believe I missed gritner grand slam. Oh yeah, gotta find that highlight (serious ADHD).
This is not the first time this year I have tuned in to see something immediately shitty. Dammit!
[38] same here. That was horrifying.
D'oh!
I wonder if d'Arneaud (sp) is the only small d beginning name in the history of the majors?
[41] My cat's name is d'Artagnan...
[41] That question is above my pay grade...
3 hit night for Derek.
So far.
[41] Karim d'Garcia ;-)
I predict that if Lucas Duda hits a home run, John Sterling will break out "Camptown Races" and I will be forced to stomp my radio flat. He and Suzyn just love saying his name.
[45] Who?
espn gamecast is terrible. I decided to try NBA.com and lo and behold the Nets are winning!
[45] I was trying to figure out a way to work that in back when we were talking about Mets flameouts >;)
[45] [47] d'Who?
[44] we've been giggling about those hits. They could be hired out as service animals.
The GrandyMan can!
Race ya to the bottom!
Good old Curtis.
[52] Psst... wrong NY team >;)
damn
A dandy from grandy.....damndy
Crud
Good. Good.
Now plate him.
Pipp Jervis!
[50] d'Nice
No way! Green lighted! And delivered!
So l'Arte! A real artist! ROY?
And the thing is, with Sori on second and one out in a tie game, I was actually thinking: this is the guy I want up out of everyone in the lineup today.
nice play! haha. Solarte has been delivering for my fantasy team thus far. I figured what the heck.
woot! nice!
OMG.
Relax, Teix. Get that leg looked at, we'll be fine for a couple days.
Kelley!
omg that's like the third run down this week.
[61] Uh-oh...
And B-Rob's baserunning blunder costs us.
Or maybe it costs nothing!
Awesome.
ok that works.
Hm.
So, how do you score that?? (Jeter's out, I mean.)
Well d'Arn... that was cool.
[71] not so much.
With Aceves warming up in the bullpen, that means he will not be starting the game on Thursday, and someone coming up from Scranton will start.
That's a canyon
[74] hmm. good question. brib (batter run into ball)?
[74] According to play by play: "D Jeter grounded out to catcher."
[78] error on the batter? That's kinda funny.
[74] Unassisted put-out; nearest fielder (catcher)
[74] Scored as a Put Out to the nearest fielder (the catcher), I believe.
6U
d'Arn he walked.
So...if this keeps up could Solarte be Rookie of the Year?
Jeez
d'Ouble d'Arn
ugly game.
[82] Not quite. The catcher gets the put-out.
Keep him in the park, Ace!
The Buckler!
I'm thinking this will be my last inning. Batting practice games are dull.
[92] lol tradition snob!
[93] No, I'm a pizza snob >;)
Thank you Mutts!
Well that was impressive. Good play.
Kay is such a douche. He's so sure they "got him" and the angle doesn't even show The Kid's glove on the leg. SAFE!
[97] he looked very out to me. On second view you can see glove on inner part of leg before foot touches base.
I guess it doesn't matter now. Oh, well. Good.
[94] Di Fara or Totonno?
[100] The media's embrace of Di Fara continues to perplex me. I grew up a block from there, Di Fara on E 15th St, Pizza Center on E 13 St. Pizza Center was wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy better.
Five more, guys.
[102] Mmmmm Five Guys.
Good thing we have a lefty specialist on the team.
Good thing we have those Lefty Speshalists on the team.
(Not allowed to spell that correctly because of the spam filter!)
Fucking RAPIDLY losing patience with useless crappy lefty Matt Thornton.
Horrendous
[106] Was his dad Knicks legend Bob Thornton?
What the fuckin, fuckin' FUCK!?!
Can we fucking give up on Preston Claiborne too?
Let's go Mets chant in the Bronx
[27] Late to the discussion, but I didn't even know there was a quake, Dude. Slept right through it.
[112] I was on the train so didn't feel it, just saw all the Twitter ruckus. (you were asleep at 0830? Slacker!)
I think Kay thinks if he keeps saying the Yankee bullpen had been great it will make it so
Picked a bad day not to give up on the Yanks.
Now I have to makes some boring Fuso utility van sound exciting. My Japanese client has the audacity to suggest my copy is not in the "working man's vernacular. I got yer vernacular right heah!
I mean, we knew this bullpen was a liability coming into the season. (btw, "liability" looks wrong in this font - too long or something)
[113} When you're the boss, you can do that. Keep working hard, my son, and you too may get there.
Why does Leiter keep naming Brad Roberts for Brian Roberts? Brad Roberts was the croaker in Crash Test a Dummies.
What on earth was Gardner waiting for?
That "a" was a typo. (Hate typing on an iPad)
GrandyMan can't.
For awhile now, these games have been like watching a bad "B" movie. It's cheesy along the way, you know the ending is gonna suck, but there are a few hot topless chicks and there's nothing else on TV.
[122] The Blacklist?
Farnsworth looks a lot younger now than he did with us
That looked like a strike
[123] Haven't seen it? I suppose it's not worth it.
Teix is for real so far. I love it. Too bad we need two runs.
It's about time. Brian!
[126] James Spader is Outstanding.
Nytol...
i hate mccann. he's just terrible. And i've been thinking that for a while. I don't get why he bats cleanup.
I sure am glad we used a lunch runner there!
How could thy fail to cash that in. Pathetic.
Lucas Duda with two nice picks to start DPs. He gets the Yankee Killa designation for tonight.
[129] He's always good. Maybe I'll check it out. It's on regular cable out here now.
Pinch runner, of course
Going to be a long season. Fortunately the rest of the division is not very good either. Stay close until healthy then win by one. If anyone was thinking that winning is the birthright anymore get used to a new paradigm.
