Off to the Mud Hens. They scored double digits the last two nights, so I expect a shutout

Note to Brett: swing the bat

Singleton & Cone, nice.

I certainly hope we get a hit tonight

Oh, look, Brandon McCarthy is turning in to a pumpkin.

9 Ara Just Fair   ~  Aug 15, 2014 6:28 pm

Nice defense.

What exactly is Stephen Drew good at on the baseball field?

Just get home and we're already down 2-0 in the 1st???

Blargh.

12 cult of basebaal   ~  Aug 15, 2014 6:36 pm

I'm going to throw up in my mouth by the end of this game, right?

13 Mr OK Jazz Tokyo   ~  Aug 15, 2014 6:36 pm

[10] Oh, he's not really a natural 2B, not his fault. Be great if we had a 2Bman with a slick glove and smooth bat...Sigh...

14 RIYank   ~  Aug 15, 2014 6:37 pm

[10] It has to be on the baseball field? That seems like an unfair restriction.

[12] Sorry, I meant inning ... blaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarph.

[14] I'm having trouble distinguishing between Brendan Ryan, Brian Roberts and Stephen Drew..

17 coleman42   ~  Aug 15, 2014 6:45 pm

[16] All of us Irishmen look alike ;)

18 RIYank   ~  Aug 15, 2014 6:47 pm

I think it's possible that Drew is an embedded Red Sox asset.

19 coleman42   ~  Aug 15, 2014 6:51 pm

[18] Wait...he just got a hit

20 coleman42   ~  Aug 15, 2014 6:53 pm

Now Brett, just swing when I tell you.

Now!

21 cult of basebaal   ~  Aug 15, 2014 7:36 pm

BLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!

22 coleman42   ~  Aug 15, 2014 7:49 pm

I feel bad for McCarthy

23 Ara Just Fair   ~  Aug 15, 2014 7:50 pm

Fuck Tampa Bay.

24 cult of basebaal   ~  Aug 15, 2014 8:10 pm

That's HeadE!

25 cult of basebaal   ~  Aug 15, 2014 8:14 pm

Well, this game is over.

G'nite, all.

26 Ara Just Fair   ~  Aug 15, 2014 8:37 pm

That was a good Brian Roberts impression.

27 coleman42   ~  Aug 15, 2014 8:39 pm

Wow

Pick it up or pack it up?

29 Boatzilla   ~  Aug 15, 2014 8:59 pm

There is absolutely no reason to watch this team anymore. There really hasn't been since Cano left for Seattle, save for a brief cameo by Tanaka.

I'm sure glad we saved all that money for a future some of will be too old to enjoy.

[28] Pack it in.

Good thing that tomorrow marks the start of the EPL season ...

[29] Living where I live, I have been spared the misery. Moving to Asheville, god willing if we sell our condo, where I will be far away from the Sox and the Yankees. Too old for the bullshit. Cannot afford to be a fan anymore. Don't have the time, the money or the interest. Cannot stand the blithering on the tube. No radio due to the mountains. And don't have a player I follow. As Tyler pointed out in the NYT the other day, next year A-Rod will return. Ycccch.

Well done, Derek.

Well done.
