I'm rooting for Tanaka to be OK and for Jeter to get to .275. The rest is gravy.
I really wish the Yankees would completely wave the white flag and call up a bunch of kids (legitimate prospects or otherwise). I'd much rather watch them play out the string than the regular collection of castoffs and reclamation projects.
Plus, bat Jeter leadoff so that he can as many ABs as possible. For no rational reason, just for my own sentimenatl enjoyment.
Oh, and is anyone else amused by the concept of a 9-hole DH? I mean, that must be some deep lineup.
