After a nice win last night, Yanks made a couple few small moves today. They’ve got the Royals again tonight.
Never mind nuthin’:
Let’s Go Yank-ees!

"This ain't football. We do this every day." --Earl Weaver
The Nova trade is complete now, with the Yankees getting uninspiring prospects Tito Polo and Stephen Shipley. Maybe a fourth OF and a RP at the big league level... maybe. That's the upside.
Ivan is doing well for the Bucs. 4-0 with an ERA under 3, low walk rate, decent K-rate. Well, good for Ivan. I wonder if Cashman will try to resign him.
Only a double, Gary?
The game is officially a plus game.
As soon as Franchez gets an extra-base hit, I'm satisfied.
Is 'Franchez' okay? I think thelarmis called him Sanchise. Can't decide.
Which gets wasted
Is it dumb to have Teixeira this high in the order? He's been hitting okay for a couple weeks. But he's not a cleanup hitter anymore.
Nice grab, Chase.
Hoo boy.
Early hole.
Shit
Well that's not good.
Getting out of hand. Although not all Cessa's fault.
[1] Tito Polo???? Seriously???? Surely that's not a baseball player, he's one of the backing musicians in Colombian salsa band Fruko Y Sus Tesos..
It is a good name.
What are tesos?
Damage limited
[14] Not sure, but they weren't guys to eff with: http://www.thevinylfactory.com/vinyl-factory-releases/from-the-vaults-the-20-best-colombian-records-ever-made/
[4] It was "Sanchize."
It's kind of weird to see Ian Kennedy, even after all these years, not pitching for the Yankees.
Yeesh.
There should be a good "Ho[s]mer" joke of some kind, but I'm not in the mood.
Royals tied it up last night, maybe we can return the favor
Hm, it looks like a 'teso' is a flat topped hill. Why Fruko wanted some of those, I couldn't say.
http://es.thefreedictionary.com/teso
They are just pounding Cessa. He's kind of lucky it's only four runs.
[4],[17] Yeah, please forget about "Sanchize"... New Yorkers are still trying hard to forget about "Sanchize"...
[20] Intereting. Many flat-topped hills in Colombia?
[22] Who are these 'Jets' you link to? Does not compute..
At least there's no butt fumbling in baseball
[24] No, but there are a few of these...
[23] It's a secret >;)
Fucking shite!
Rats
Can we score some runs please
Quit expanding the zone
Grrrrrrrr..... Teix just missed it.
There's one
Two more!
I like it!! Go Go Castro.
Fuck Ian Kennedy.
Hey guys. Got bummed watching the Yanks futility, tuned 8n to watch the Nats beat the Phils. That is excellent baseball 2-1. So switch to the yanks and it's a game. BTW, going to see Bruce tomorrow night. Heard the concert goes 4 hours!
Damn, Headley.
I remember the ads over Cone's dog bite. Fans had to follow him around doing everything for him. Including the bathroom
Awful call blue
Nice! 1st to 3rd.
Way to go Gritty
Good out Els!
WHoo-hoo! Tied.
Now just don't do what the Royals did yesterday after tying it up.
Mondesi isn't a fun looking ball player. Throw 'em out, Gary!
Whoops. Is a fun looking ball player. Is. Yeesh.
Nice Inning Shreve
[44] Radio here, does he look like Gorman Thomas? Pascual Perez? Kent Tekulve? Some of my fave-looking balllpayers.
[35] He's slowing down. He used to play for five hours when I saw him in the '80s. Piker. ;>)
Enjoy!
[47] Oscar Gamble.
[48] 5 hours of Bruce Springsteen sounds...not pleasant for Mr. OK Jazz :)
Balls!
[47] Deion Sanders.
Great Gritty
Great. Score 10!
Ok guys. US AK's need some sleep tonight. Get a couple and end this thing.
Did they really go hitless against Brooks Pounders?
Yikes! Phew.
Judge just watched 2 meatballs pass after swinging at a ball. What the living fuck!
Bases juiced. 1 out. Sanchez to bat.
IBB to load the bases and face The Sanchize!
frick. hit it super hard...
Rats. 2 outs. Thus is not going to end well.
hicks left the game with a leg injury...
c'mon, Tex!
BOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!
Nice job, Teix. Outside pitch. FUUUUCK. That's the game.
Didi! Didi! Didi
i missed the play before... espada should've sent headley home?
wtf is with our 3rd basement coaches??? : /
i just saw the play...
ooh, my roku is behind...
here comes didi
12-game hitting streak for didi
nice, castro!!!
we BETTER fucking score here. at least two runs.
Geez, left 3 last inning. How about a couple of hits mow?
A good throw would nailed Headley by 10 steps. 2nd and 3rd. No outs. For yhe love of MO! Score both!
Sweeeeeeeeeet!
Thank you McCann. Nice run by Castro. Time for some Justice.
good job, mac!
great baserunning, didi!
5-4. get dellin up : )
atone, judge
You are do for a big ab, Judge.
[72] thanks. yeah, i saw the replay and wondered why the writer questioned the hold.
BOOOOOOOOOO!
wow. judge looks TERRIBLE! just really really bad. he's guessing and uncomfortable. swung at ball 4...
Another nail biter.
[75] oops. i meant castro on the baserunning. heads up tag.
Lame. Let's go Dancin'!
i really hope dellin doesn't implode. i can see him hitting the first batter and hosmer taking him yard. ugh...
i'll gladly settle for a nice, easy 1-2-3. i'd like to enjoy my dinner!
everybody here see we traded gamel today? he won mvp yesterday. sell high!
i was close.
please don't walk him...
That's one way to start an inninq.
TERRIBLE!
fucking walked the leadoff guy. are you freaking kidding me?
COME ON!!!
Is Betances a bit tired perhaps?
Hot damn!
really wish we had andrew in this spot...
PLAY OF THE YEAR!!!
holy crap.
Mo Damn. Cjeerw, y'all. What a win!
well, i'll be!
i feel strange saying this, but if you look away, castro sounds a bit like Mo when he speaks. slightly deeper tone, but similar cadence.
Crazy. Who would have thought that we would play meaningful games in September?
