Indeed, things ended up going well for the Yanks in K.C. Lots of loud, booming sounds from the Bombers. Man, the lineup has a bunch of mashers, right? Even with Didi mired in a deep slump—he got the weekend off. Even as we wait for Greg Bird to join the fun.
Tonight, they are in Texas facing Bartolo Colon. It is great and hilarious that he is still pitching. I hope they tattoo him but if they don’t that will be hilarious too.
You know, the Red Sox are really damn good and the Astros as the defending champs and they are damn good. The Angels—who the Yanks host this weekend—look tough as well. But these Yanks, man, it’s good to be a Yankee fan these days. They will be a tough out and that’s all you can hope for.
Never mind the brisket:
Let’s Go Yank-ees!

Gritner!
nice start for Gardi
That was foolish of Brett. Lucky.
Shitty from Stanton.
Didi ckeanup. Hope over recent experience.
ok. contact.
If it wasn't for bad luck, he'd have no luck at all ...
There goes the perfecto.
nice D Didi
NICE recovery from Didi!
Dammit.
[0] Already BBQ season in the US o' A?
Colon, now that Ichiro has 'retired', Big Bart the only MLB player left who is older than me..hope he keeps pitching forever!
We're looking at the ROTY
If we took a Gleyber Day, took time to celebrate.
Hot diggity, Gleyber
LFer barely moved
I'm thinking Glaybar should be leading off.
You’re right there pick up the fucking ball.
Obligatory homer
Tanaka’s Achilles…
DIDI!!!
Gregorious defense
C'mon Tanaka ... STRIKES
this kid is simply a terrific baseball player.
very acceptable
Janokowoski (sic)
Insane depth.
There we go Walker!
That is fishy.
that was an intentional welcome to the big rook.
How dare they hit Gleyber! Who's the enforcer on this Yankee team, is Graeme Lloyd still in the pen?
(Sorry, 'Eye Of The Tiger' just came on the radio here so I'm a bit fired up)
OK Jazz!
Always good to see you here!
A Hogan's Heroes reference!
I KNOW NOTHING!
STRIKES!!!
Sub- optimal.
[32] Always lurking, even when working!
Classic Rock morning here at ACME, Investigations. Boston 'More Than A Feeling' on now. If Journey comes up though I'm changing the channel.
Fuck.
Tanaka fail. That's what you get.
getting very tired of Tanaka's obligatory HRs
Shit
Paul O'Neill said earlier in the year he would never sit on an off speed pitch. I found that rather nuts.
Hitting the 9 batter on 0 - 2. Oi.
Bronx bombers are back, baby!
So, so good.
Gleyber tater!
So Bartolo, HOF?
I vote yes, because how can you keep Big Sexy out.
Didi! Rejoice!
This is getting better
Phew
Lead off walk. Always a good idea.
This team is crazy.
This is enjoyable! Btw, this years team is helping me to appreciate just how good Mantle was. "First since Mickey Mantle...", "Only Yankee except Mantle...", etc...
[52] The Mick was the best player I ever saw with my own eyes, live. OTOH, I never did get to see Willie Mays in person.
I can't be alone in thinking that the Judge/Sanchez/Severino/Glayber quartet reminds me of another group of Yankees. Plus Stanton and Chapman, and what seems like 11 other potential MLB regulars in waiting. Interesting to see what they'll do when Bird is eligible. I'm thinking that one or two of the youngsters would be great trade bait for another higfh level starter come July.
The twinkies released Phil Phranchise. $22.5 mil guaranteed through the end of next season. I wish someone would pay me that go home...
