…currently interrupted by great rain. After swapping late inning comebacks with the Rays (and uh, why, Mr. Chapman do you triple up on sliders?), yesterday’s game was rained out. More thunderstorms in the Bronx this morning but they are scheduled to play two today.
Here’s hoping they split at least.

decided to buy a 13 dollar ticket in bleachers 203 today-- 2 games for the price of one, nothing to do today, so why not? havent gone to a game alone before but looking forward to just sitting around for a few hours. will be nice to see german pitch as well.

expecting a quality start from happ today who in some ways might be looking to protect his spot in the rotation. opener system looking good, domingo back, possible trade in the next week or so.
went to the first of the two games yesterday, sat in 203 with the creatures. enjoyed seeing boone get tossed, although from where we were i dont think anyone realized he actually got the hook. sat by a fan with an andujar jersey who seemed to actively root against urshela which was a bit strange. i love miggy and perhaps he felt that his spot could be in jeopardy with gio hitting so well, but... i dont know, doesnt make a ton of sense to me.
was only my second game at the stadium this season, and i was struck by how tough our lineup is--- i obviously know they take a lot of pitches, make pitchers work hard, and hit tons of home runs, but there is just a palpable sense that theyre going to do something good. Its pretty cool--- lemahieu, judge, gary, urshela. it goes on. lets go yankees!
Hope we get a good ump at the plate tonight.
