Lookin’ for a thorough review of the food at Yankee Stadium? Then dig this cool Boogie Down blog, How Fresh Eats. Dude has the skinny–soup to nuts.
What about the beer at the two new parks? Eric Asimov takes a look in today’s New York Times.
And just cause we’re talking about food, why not take a look at a Shake Shack burger?
I had my first Shake Shack experience last week: Double Shack Burger, fries, and a vanilla malted. Believe the hype.
Alex, if you're a burger guy you need to hit up Piper's Kilt on 231st at some point.
Dude, You KNOW I'm all about that jernt. Place is bomb-diggitty! Good lookin my brother!
Paul Lukas of ESPN.com tried out the Yankee steakhouse

Oh man. That's not fair. I'm trying to be good! I think there's a burger run in my very-near future.
must be a burger vibe in the air.
i usually don't eat a big lunch, but didn't bring lunch today and decided to get a burger today.
i just started working near the shake shack at madison park - lines have been crazy the few times i went by - but if raging tartabull says to believe the hype - seems like no public enemy could disuade me from trying one of these days :}
this is all just going to result in me dropping a lot of money at Johnny Rocket's when I go to the game tomorrow
[2] Its so great, the wings are pretty unbelievable too. I went to Manhattan so Sunday Brunch ($13.95 for any burger or omelette and all you can drink) and Monday night 50 cent wings were a main staple of the diet for 4 years...healthy times.
since i haven't had red meat in over 17 years now, i'll change the subject...
per pete abe on IPK:
Ian Kennedy was examined by a specialist in NYC today because of his numb middle finger.
He has a vaso spasm that can be treated with medication. He will be evaluated again Monday and will not throw until after that follow-up.
[2] Alex - it's not fancy (at all!), but you'd probably dig that Varsity place here in Atlanta. you randomly used their sign in one of your recent posts... : )
i passed the Varsity Jr. last night, and thought of you. at the same time, i was hearing about our 10-run inning! : )
tonight's lineup:
Jeter SS
Damon LF
Teixeira 1B
Matsui DH
Cano 2B
Posada C
Swisher RF
Cabrera CF
Pena 3B
sure hope JoPo is feeling better ... he didn't exactly look inspiring at the plate last night.
as for burgers ... In-N-Out.
no need to say more ...
Burgers of choice .... jackson hole

pete abe added an addendum to the IPK news. he did a basic google search and deemed that the condition does not seem serious...
[7] Vaso Spasm in the middle finger, eh? Kennedy must be really popular with the ladies these days!
Sorry... couldn't resist...
;)
[9] Po catching already and with Joba??? I think I'm going to be sick...
[14] So much for the "hot hand" approach @ the catcher position...
*rolls eyes*

Three great places for burgers, in no particular order:
Doyle's Pub - 2634 East Tremont Ave @ St. Raymond's Ave, Bronx (NICE wings, too!)
Lincoln Park Grill - 867 9th Ave btw W 56th & W 57th Street, Manhattan
America's Burgers & Wraps - 1159 3rd Avenue btw E 67h & E 68th Street
trust me, they're worth the trip.
Man, I'm going to have to bookmark this thread. In part so my family knows who to sue after I drop dead of a massive coronary. Stupid burgers being all tasty . . .
Proposed new nickname for Alex Rodriguez after his return: Dorxela (pronounced "Dork-zilla"). It's "Alex Rod" backwards.
Any takers?

Methinks Ian has a good batting average with (wo)men in scoring position!
Hi-yo!
Alex, good looks on the tout- much appreciated. What a lovely shack burger you have too. Hit Citi the other day and the shack didn't miss a thing. Best part of the stadium.
And I couldn't agree more with Piper's Kilt. The most underrated burger in the whole NYC.
