Well this seems rather enjoyable. I really hope this thing ends up seeing the light of day, I think with guys like Zallian and Soderbergh (not to mention Pitt who is incredibly underrated as a character actor) behind it it has real potential.

I felt the same way about "Fast Food Nation" .... loved the book, HATED the movie ... because it didn't work as a NON-documentary.

In fact, to see how variable UZR is, look at his Fangraphs chart. Note that even his range, disparaged in that earlier article, is above average for his career, though sub-par for several years. It's very implausible that his actual fielding ability and production varies as much as the UZR does. A lot of UZR must be a matter of luck.
