And here I thought elote was a So Cal thing. Street vendors walk the neighborhoods around my school constantly in the spring, summer, and fall hawking this stuff, complete with butter, mayo, and chile powder. I've never tried one though -- I love corn on the cob, but prefer it straight out of the pot or off the grill -- no butter, no salt!

Every summer I bike out to the ballfields at Red Hook where they sell this from the vans. One van in particular does a splendid job with the corn. Get an orchata with it. Great combo. You'll know the van because it will have one of the longer lines.
