Taster’s Cherce

Cool like a cucumber, that’s how we roll in the summertime.

There’s all sorts of ways to flip cucumbers (here’s a recipe for the salad picture above). When I used to wait tables the Amigos in the kitchen would slice cucumbers and sprinkle salt and chili powder on them, followed by a squeeze of lemon. It’d be a macho thing to see how much chili powder you could stand.

I usually have ’em plain with some kosher salt.

i love cucumbers!

i slice 'em thin like that and prefer it with no skin on the side.

cucumber salads are cool, but i just like slicing up a half of one and having it as a side to my meal. depending on what i'm having, i usually dip the cukes - mushroom sauce or marinara sauce. i get funny looks for the latter, but it's oh sooo good! the former, will prolly happen for din-din tonight...

LOL. Dude, you never cease to surprise...

I scoop out the seeds of the big cucumbers if I'm making a salad, but I love the English ones and those kirby's too.

cucumbers are confusing. everyone considers them a veggie, but really, with the seeds, it's a fruit. hmmm....
