I visited my mom recently and was annoyed that her peeler was almost as old as me. (Let’s not even talk about the can opener.) A peeler is just one of those ordinary things that can last generations, even if they are dull and don’t work well anymore.
For about ten bucks you can change someone’s life. Pick up an Oxo Good Grip peeler.
It’s the small things, man…
I dunno, is there some animal-based charity involved?
Long live Bed, Bath & Beyond!
our peeler is dull.
I keep telling my wife we're living like savages with this thing.
Somebody help us!
3) ten bucks, man. Make it an early Christmas.
[4] you're right, dude.
Merry Christmas, baby! Gotcha a ten dollar ticket outta Dullsville!
Best part of OXO is the products pretty much have a lifetime guarantee. I had their garlic press that snapped on me and I sent it back and they sent me a new one.
My favorite product from them is probably the slanted measuring cups.
Those old peelers are like some 19th century torture device. You know, the ones with no cover on the handle?
6} Same thing happened here. They sent a new one immediately and it hasn't snapped yet.
The peeler rocks too.
Gotta say, I prefer the peeler where the blade is perpendicular to the handle - but yeah, at $10 (or less), a new one is the way to go if you need it.
[4] [5] Got the linked one for the wife for last Christmas and I'm pretty sure it was her favorite present.
