You Could Look it Up

The main branch of the New York Public Library, another reason New York is so fresh.

Dig this tribute to vintage Curt Teich linen postcards over at The Selvedge Yard.

Something about this postcard makes me really miss being in the city on a regular basis. Got withdrawal after eight years of working in Manhattan and my last work-related trips were to the NYPL for research/fact-checking work.

Also, dig all the double-decker buses.

Hey, check this out:

It's computer-generated reporting, based on the stats. (Yesterday's Times had an article about it, "When the Software Is the Sportswriter".)

I don't think Belth is going to be replaced by a computer any time soon (or Cliff, or Emma, etc.), but it's fairly impressive.

RI, how do you know AB hasn't been replaced by a computer? His posts have been categorical and punctual as of late...

Oh yeahhh, he's got one of those for sure... good music, good food; I dunno about the wabbit food, but after that burger shot I'll take it for granted >;)

never liked the main branch...too many free roaming, vaporous, full-torso apparitions.

[6] Nice one, Egon!

Alex's NYC posts make me really miss the city.
