Taster's Cherce

Pass the peas like they used to say…

I love peas, even though the wife says they don’t count as vegetables (“too carby”). But they are another sign that spring is near even though the frozen petite peas are great year round. Head on over to Saveur and check out 16 recipes for young green peas.

And even if you don’t dig peas, bounce to this:

i always hated peas. growing up, my mom forced us to eat either peas or string beans at dinner, basically every night. string beans were always worse. with peas, i was able at least to wash down a whole mouthful without actually having to taste them! that was a good trick : )

i don't mind them now, but they don't do anything for me. actually had some last night in a chicken pot pie...

I never said pass the peas, I always passed on them. I even spit them out if they accidently got in my mouth (chicken pot pie). Yuck.
