Punch Drunk Love

If you dig boxing and boxing writing you must head on down to the Barnes and Noble in Tribeca tonight at 7. Banter favorite George Kimball, co-editor of “At the Fights: American Writers on Boxing,” will be joined by Pete Hamill, Mike Lupica and Robert Lipsyte.

Be there or be square.

I watched The Fighter on Saturday. I hit the youtube right after and watched Mickey's brother fight Sugar Ray. It was a pretty tame fight with some excitement in the middle. Dickey was definitely a squirrelly dude.
But if you haven't seen this particular round between Mickey and Gatti check it out. It'll make your head spin. If it was in a movie it would be called unrealistic.

I loved those fights, Emmanuel Stewart named that round "The Greatest Round of the 20th Century" in an issue of The Ring
