I gave up my seat for an older woman on the subway this morning. She was wearing a heavy green coat and carrying two shopping bags and a bulky purple purse.
I stood above her after she sat down. She had long black hair, speckled with gray, and a silk pink and purple scarf on her head, tied just under her chin. Something about her face, the shape of her mouth, reminded me of my grandmother on my father’s side. She raised her eyebrows as if she was having a conversation, which in fact she was, silently, with herself.
Her mouth chewed quickly and then I looked down and saw that she was holding a box of Dots. Eating Dots at 7:30 in the morning. It made me think–if you had to eat candy for breakfast, what would it be?
Had to eat candy for breakfast? You make it sound like a punishment.
And make mine chocolate.

Well, she COULD have been diabetic and needed instant sugar ... (probably not though).
I vote for Animal Crackers, cause they aren't too far away from most kids' cereals anyway. :-)
What about Flinstones vitamins?
am or pm: Reese's or Baby Ruth hands down.
Breakfast? Whoppers probably, or Skittles if I was on a health kick.
Of course, is drowning pancakes or waffles in syrup (or half of the cereals aimed at kids out there) really that far away from candy for breakfast? Lucky Charms is pretty much candy, right? They sell marshmallows in the candy aisle.
Snickers, or Almond Joy.
Only slightly off- topic, my sons ars freaking out (in a good way) because we're doing breakfast for dinner tonight. They think we should do it every week, but we keep it to the point where it 's still a treat, maybe 6-8 times a year.
Twizzlers Nibs. No question.

I have pancakes for dinner at least once every 2 months.
9) yup, the works: pancakes, bacon, sausage, eggs. I don't know why we don't do it more often. It's an easy dinner, and the kids seriously dig it.
Halvah. And I want some now, as I still haven't eaten breakfast yet!
Twix and Reece's cups. With milk, of course...
Man, I love breakfast for dinner. Ever try going out to a resturant for dinner and ordering breakfast. It' DA BOMB! Oh...Peanut Chews for breakfast, the dark chocolate ones!!
